Oculus Rift developer Next Big Futures will share more information on the upcoming Oculus Rift release, with the studio’s co-founder and chief executive director, Nate Mitchell, confirming that the game will be a VR experience.

Mitchell has been working on Next Big Things VR since late 2014, when he joined the team after working on the Xbox One and PlayStation VR experiences.

“And then, in November of 2015, I was contacted by Next Big Projects.
I went to them, and they said, ‘Hey, Nate, what are you up to?
Are you interested in doing something like this?’

Mitchell went on to say that he was initially interested in making a VR-focused VR game, but that the Rift was a “supercool idea.”
“I wanted to make something that was really cool and immersive, and then the opportunity came up to work with someone who I really respect,” he said.

The Last Of Us: Oculus Rift Developer Next Big Game Studios is a studio formed by Mitchell and fellow co-founders, Joel Couture and Daniel Hodge.
The company has released numerous titles, including “Fable Legends,” “Madden NFL 18,” and “Dirt” before moving onto “The Left Behind series.”
“The story of The Last of US: Oculus is about Joel and Daniel’s journey through New York City in the years following the end of the Second World War,” Next Big said in a statement.
“Through the game they have built their own narrative of a group of survivors who find themselves lost and isolated on the edges of the city.
Mitchell added that the studio will be launching the Oculus Home app for the Rift and Vive. “
