The Latest on President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate accord article The Trump administration has decided to pull the United States out of the Paris Climate Agreement, the White House announced Monday.
The move is part of Trump’s “America First” agenda, which includes slashing federal spending and cutting back on the military, the Associated Press reported.
The U.N. climate change pact is one of Trump and Republican lawmakers’ biggest accomplishments.
It was signed into law by President Donald J. Trump in 2020.
Trump announced his decision to pull out of Paris last month, saying it was the wrong thing to do, Reuters reported.
“Paris is a bad deal for the U, the U: It is not worth the cost.
And we will not be a party to it,” Trump said during his first trip abroad since taking office.
He then said, “We will get out.”
